The Colorado Buffaloes began the 2023 season on a promising note as they went 3-0 in Deion Sanders’ first season in Boulder as the head coach. In their second win against Nebraska, his QB son Shedeur Sanders began ‘The Shedeur’ watch flex, where he lifts his wrist to flex his valuable watch. 

The Shedeur was further popularized when he did it again following a double overtime win against CSU after being dissed by the Rams’ HC Jay Norvell. Shedeur Sanders stated after the game, “I was just waiting the whole time to put a watch on ’em.” Since then, the move has become a phenomenon, with so many people imitating him, from his little sister Shelomi Sanders to a Tony Award winner.

When one of the world’s most famous actors sheds light on someone, it doesn’t go unnoticed, especially under the watchful eyes of Deion Sanders Jr. In his recent Instagram story, he stole a post by @lifeandball that displayed Denzel Washington flaunting a diamond-studded watch and doing The Shedeur. The watch in question is a Royal Oak by Audemars Piguet, worth $30,000 in the market. 

But Shedeur Sanders’ watch is customized with over 30 carats of diamond and worth $70,000. Following the social media popularity, Deion Sanders believed famous names like Rick Ross and DJ Khaled doing the move sealed the deal. But for Denzel Washington, whom Deion Sanders calls “the greatest ever,” to come out and do the same is truly a game-changer for the Sanders.

This January, Deion Sanders propagated the “21 Days With Prime Challenge” to his fans and urged them to work out with him to pursue better health. Wrapping up his challenge, he posted a strong message for his followers on IG: “Get up and get yours! I know I got mine! #21DaysWithPrime.”

While concluding things, Deion Sanders revealed there are two influential people who have propelled him to push through the limits—Denzel Washington and Jamie Foxx. He said of Washington, “Denzel Washington, the greatest ever, the greatest ever.” With a career spanning over four decades, Washington was named by The New York Times as the greatest actor of the 21st century in 2020. He also earned the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2022.
