On August 4, NFL pass rush expert Brandon Jordan hit up Boulder to train the Buffs’ defensive line. He posted pics of the guys working hard and said, “Work Day University of Colorado Dline! Transition off of Power!” He was stoked that the players were putting in extra work on their day off and said, “The Dlineman at Colorado is ready to put on a show!!

Now, Coach Jordan’s resume is crazy impressive. He’s worked with about 70 NFL players this year alone! Last year, he taught pass rush in Seattle, and guess what? Coach Prime just hired another coach from the Seattle Seahawks. Last month, Damione Lewis became their new defensive line coach. Lewis has four years of NFL coaching experience and 10 years as a player.

There’s also Adalius Thomas, a linebacker who played for the Patriots and Ravens in the NFL for a decade and now shares his wisdom as a defensive analyst for the Buffs. And let’s not forget Hall of Famer Warren Sapp, a graduate assistant who drops knowledge on the players whenever he can.

With these defensive geniuses, Coach Prime is clearly cooking up something big for the Buffs’ defense.

Deion Sanders’ new defense looks better

Deion Sanders is on a mission to turn the Buffaloes‘ defense around. Last year, the team was a total mess in defense. They couldn’t stop anyone, and the quarterback got sacked too much. Deion knew he had to fix this if he wanted his son and the entire team to succeed. So, he went all-in on defense. He hired many NFL coaches, and now they’ve combined over 150 years of NFL experience in their staff room! Even the defensive coordinator, Robert Livingston, is an NFL vet with over a decade of experience. And it’s not just coaches; Deion also brought some serious talents.

They have new linebackers, Nikhai-Hill Green and Jaylen Wester, and one of the best defensive ends in the nation, BJ Green. Even the linebackers coach, Andre Hart, is all pumped. He said, “The defense has been working hard in June. We’ve had a lot more fights on defense than before, which means a lot of people are holding each other accountable.” It sounds like they’re ready to rumble.

Even their secondary is looking good, with new defensive back transfers DJ McKinney and Preston Hodge. And let’s not forget the veteran safeties Shilo Sanders and Cam’Ron Simon Craig on the defense. It looks like Deion has stacked the team with skilled players and coaches. Now, we are waiting for the results!
