The Sanders family members are social beings. Be it the Sanders boys walking for Louis Vuitton or Deiondra giving back to the community during Christmas, each member is iconic in their own right and finds ample instances to hype each other up. That’s how the Sanders household works. Although Coach Prime is usually the one talking about faith, Shedeur Sanders took his turn this time around.

As Coach Prime transitioned into “Professor Prime” during his inaugural class this semester at the University of Colorado, his son and star quarterback Shedeur attracted due attention through his latest Instagram post, highlighting certain lyrics that addressed navigating through tough times when one is at their lowest.

In his post, the young athlete was wearing a light pink sweatshirt and blue jeans, sitting on an ATV. Apart from the aesthetics of the picture, it was his caption that caught most people’s attention. Shedeur wrote, “At my lowest all I had was GOD, don’t ever think I need you.” While these are lyrics from American rapper Fredo Bang’s song, Yes, I’m Sad (that Sanders called “legendary”), that wasn’t all. It resonated with his and his siblings’ upbringing.

Deion Sanders has often been a messenger of devout ideas, not holding back his belief in faith. Remember when he exclaimed, “Thank you Jesus! God is good!” after CU stunned TCU on the road in the first game of the season? Shedeur had followed suit in his interview, saying, “They ain’t believe us, but God did.” And now, after seeing his son’s post, Coach Prime wrote, “Preach Son.” And mother, Pilar, joined in on the support by commenting, “🔥❤️.”

The constant support and appreciation strengthen the Sanders family as a unit, which has become a value the younger Sanders have imbibed. Fans witnessed Shedeur’s righteousness in another instance not too long back.

In the 2024 Senior Bowl, former Tennessee Volunteers quarterback Joe Milton III encountered difficulties. Pro Football Focus highlighted his struggles with a social media post captioned, “The Joe Milton experience.” The description referenced Milton’s performance during the game, where he threw two interceptions for the American Team in a 16-7 loss to the National Team. It was the young quarterback’s response to this that stuck with everyone.

Shedeur Sanders, the Colorado quarterback who opted out of the 2024 NFL Draft to continue college, criticized Pro Football Focus for what he perceived as negative commentary, stating, “I thought PFF College was to showcase college athletes, not put them down.” Deion Sanders and Pilar seem to have done a great job raising their kids right. As for Coach Prime, he hopes to do so with the young minds at Colorado as he takes on another persona – that of a professor.
