After making a strong entrance in the 2023 regular season under Deion Sanders’ first coaching year in Colorado, the Buffs failed to make an epic comeback as they fell to a low at 4-8. On top of that, Shedeur Sanders suffered the most due to a lack of protection for the QB and even had to sit out the last game because of injury. But Coach Prime made sure things were about to change by making a major update in the offensive lineup.

The Buffs offensive roster looks promising, but is the performance going to live up to the hype? According to what Shilo Sanders exposed about his younger brother’s protectors, there could be lines of improvement required even still.

Reach The People Media captured something intriguing on its recent YouTube episode about Shilo Sanders’ take on the new Colorado Buffs’ offensive line. He trolled the linemen saying that they’re not built for speed. The 24-year-old Buffs safety said, “The old linemen think that they’re big and powerful. They don’t have enough speed to even make momentum.”

After Colorado’s poor performance last season, Deion Sanders is trying to make sure that history won’t repeat itself, by bringing elite players to the offense. The new offensive giants came in vowing to protect Shedeur Sanders from experiencing the same fate he did last year when he was sacked 52 times. Some of the standouts include 5-star OT Jordan Seaton, 4-star IOL Kahlil Benson, and 4-star OL Tyler Johnson, among others.

Colorado Buffaloes’ linemen vow to protect Shedeur Sanders

Entering the 2024 season, Shedeur Sanders can set his mind at peace knowing that the new O-line is going to do whatever it takes so that he doesn’t get touched. Ever since Jordan Seaton arrived in Colorado, the pair have been hanging out and developing a bond between them. Seaton previously commented, “Whoever’s behind me at quarterback, I’m going to block my b**t off. The bond Shedeur and I have makes you want to go harder.” And he isn’t the only one who made a promise.

Kahlil Benson is among the offensive players who even came up with the DT2 idea which means, “Don’t Touch 2” given that the Buffs QB plays in a No. 2 jersey. The commitment to Shedeur Sanders is clear when the 6’6 305-pounder recently tweeted, “I’m ready to hit the field and protect @shedeursanders.” While we don’t know how far Shilo Sanders’ speed claim is true as of now, we’ll soon see for ourselves when the Buffs hit the field for real play next season.
