But as the time for his commitment draws closer, he seems to be gravitating toward the team they couldn’t beat in their rivalry game this year.

It is common knowledge that Florida and Georgia meet together in their division rivalry game which was known as the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party. In their last meeting on October 28 this season, the Bulldogs defeated the Gators 43-20. Per Georgia, they lead the rivalry series 56-44-2 with their last win marking their third straight victory over Florida.

In 2023, Trevor Etienne played 11 games with the Gators. He was Florida’s season star, completing 5.7 yards per carry and 68.4 yards per game in the 11 games he played. In 2022, he was named Freshman All-SEC after finishing the season with 719 yards and six touchdowns. 

If Trevor Etienne’s commitment eventually comes down to Georgia, he might have to deal with criticism for a while as he tries to break into his new connection with the Bulldogs with whom he used to compete.
