Now, Deion Sanders has more things to worry about for the future of Colorado when his QB son, Shedeur Sanders, leaves him to enter the 2025 NFL Draft. His star QB son will be entering the draft as one of the top overall prospects next year. So, it makes more than enough sense that the Buffs are doing all they can to land the 5-star QB recruit of the 2025 class. With his commitment announcement due soon, suspense is high.

Colorado targets Julian Lewis as Shedeur Sanders’ replacement

What would landing one of the nation’s top QBs as a replacement for Shedeur Sanders mean for Deion Sanders and the Buffs? In a recent upload by Coach Prime Time Football News & Stories on YouTube, the host stated that 5-star QB Julian Lewis is “set to make an announcement at the end of June… This is going to be a massive recruiting target to watch over the next four weeks… This would put the offseason and college football on its head if Coach Prime is able to land this.

Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffs recently lost highly-touted RB Rashad Amos, who flipped his commitment from Colorado to Ole Miss. But they still have a chance to turn things around if they manage to land Lewis, the No. 2 QB in the nation behind Bryce Underwood. What are the odds of Julian Lewis joining Coach Prime’s programs amidst various elite offers from other top programs?

Julian Lewis already has his commitment at USC but the acclaimed Carrollton High School player is still exploring among the vast choices. He is scheduled to visit Colorado from June 21–23, after which he will declare his announcement by the end of June. Deion Sanders already hosted Lewis and his father in Colorado on two occasions. But the competition is fierce.

The highly-sought QB is also scheduled to visit other programs like Georgia from May 31-June 2, USC from June 7-9, and Auburn from June 14–16. People are also speculating that he might flip to Indiana. Lewis, who threw 48 TDs against two interceptions last season, would make a huge impact on Colorado football. But ‘would he commit?’ is the question.
