“I’ve Been Flat on My Face”: Oregon Star QB Bo Nix Reveals the Deeply Personal Story of His Football Path

Behind every successful figure is a backstory filled with struggles and challenges. If you look at Oregon Ducks QB Bo Nix, you might not find much traces of deep challenges he faced over the years. But the star QB has his story to tell from when he was just a child with a goal of being a college football player. 

The Oregon Ducks finished the season with an impressive record of 11-2. Both of their only two loses came from the Washington Huskies who defeated them in the Pac-12 championship game for the second time. But despite the loss, Bo Nix still holds on to his childhood goals as he delivers a hopeful message.

Not every great college football player is a child prodigy like Oregon QB Bo Nix. In his latest IG post, he dug up his childhood forging himself a path in football from a very young age, despite setbacks and criticism saying, “I’ve been flat on my face at times. As bad as it feels, I think the Lord has a plan for each one of us.

Bo Nix is a true Heisman Trophy contender whose lifelong dream was to become a college football player. This season, he led Oregon to an 11-2 record despite not making it to the playoffs. The story isn’t over for Nix yet as he played his hope and trust in the Lord as he said, “Look how far the Lord had brought me. He’s not done.”

Bo Nix is good for college football

Ever since he joined Oregon in 2022, Bo Nix became a fan favorite and his impressive sportsmanship this season won the respect of Head Coach Dan Lanning. He said of Bo Nix, “There’s probably not a more self-aware person in the world than Bo Nix. And he knows his strengths, he knows his weaknesses, he can identify his thoughts. He’s out there and is able to lead and communicate with other players on our team.

Even though the star QB couldn’t lead his team to the College Football Playoffs, his stats speak for themselves. Bo Nix finished the 2023 regular college football season ranking 2nd in QB Rankings. He completed the season with 4,145 yards, 40 touchdowns, and 3 interceptions.

The season may not have gone according to the expectations of Bo Nix and the Oregon Ducks. But one thing is clear. This isn’t the last time we’re going to see Bo Nix delivering an outstanding performance. He’s confident, he’s prepared, and he’s going to change history next season.
