Michigan State is currently in second place in the NCAA competition but has issues going on with their head coach. Jim Harbaugh, the side’s HC has come under fire for some unsportsmanlike allegations. It’s been reported that the coach is involved in sign stealing. Thus far the days following this incident have gone on to reveal several things in the background.

However, as per the HC, it’s all farce! He’s stood tall with his denial and dismissed the allegations put forth on him and his side. The Michigan Wolverines are having an exceptional year in the NCAA. But they now face the challenge of shunning the outside noise. The world is in utter disbelief with the news coming from Michigan’s coach. He has taken a firm stance against the allegations and continues to deny the strong claims made by other teams regarding stealing signs.

Harbaugh denies any allegations of stealing signs

Jim Harbaugh is having a stellar season as a head coach. His side is on a rampage as they’ve won eight games on the trot! Shattering records and making the season count! However, their campaign has been marked by certain controversy surrounding the signs stealing. Harbaugh has now come forward and vehemently denied the false accusations. “I want to make it clear that I, and my staff, will fully cooperate with the investigation into this matter”

Harbaugh further continued, “I do not have any knowledge or information regarding the University of Michigan football program illegally stealing signals, nor have I directed any staff member or others to participate in an off-campus scouting assignment. I have no awareness of anyone on our staff having done that or having directed that action.” Jim stressed upon the fact that the scouting practices have always maintained high standards. Soon enough, the NCAA started an investigation to look further into the matter. It was a roller-coaster week since Greg Schiano highlighted the issue in his infamous interviews.

The half-time interview that triggered the signs-stealing allegations

It all started on October 19 when the Scarlet Knights head coach was asked for a half-time interview. He replied in jest saying that “Well, there’s some stuff going on out there, so we’ve got to slow it down a little bit, just some things going on that aren’t right as well. So we’ll talk about how to handle it.”

His strong comments were earlier drowned by the deafening crowd and almost got lost in oblivion. Now with the Big Ten covering the issue, they pointed out that the NCAA committee was already on an investigation regarding the matter. Fans must note that sign-stealing isn’t completely against the NCAA rules. However, there are prohibitions on in-person scouting for opponents’ signs. Furthermore, the teams aren’t allowed to use audio or video signals for recording signals.

So the big question now lies- who’s speaking the truth, is it the voice of reason offered by Harbaugh or the allegations pointed out by Knights HC? There are lots of questions that need to be answered!
