After being drafted by the Patriots, Maye showed his enthusiasm accompanied by his youthful energy. NFL reporter Cameron Wolfe shared a video on his Twitter account highlighting Maye’s happiness after his draft. Sharing the video Wolfe wrote, “Drake Maye exuded a youthful energy of hope arriving as Patriots QB today, and he can’t wait to compete with fellow ACC guy Jacoby Brissett for starting job. And as for Tom Brady, Maye hopes to eventually get tips from him. But he just wants to be Drake Maye.”

Wolfe also addressed Maye’s willingness to compete with his fellow Patriots QB Jacoby Brissett for the starting position.
