This is what Norvell had to say about his team’s chances in the playoff rankings. He said, “We’ve beat eight Power Five Bowl eligible teams you know, we’ve beat two SEC teams. You see a complete football team and they’ve earned an opportunity and I’m just so proud of them and excited about all that has been accomplished. I got absolute confidence in that we’re going to get our opportunity.” Thus, the Florida team will have to be disappointed today as they wait for the next season to redeem themselves under coach Norvell.

How did the Florida team react to the news of being snubbed?

After the top 3 spots for the playoffs were announced, the Florida team clenched their fists tightly as they waited for their team to be called out in the last announcement. Alas! All the efforts of Norvell and their impeccable performance looked to be in vain as the name of the Alabama team took over.
