Sports reporter Stuart Webber tweeted saying, “Back from injury and in at QB for Navy is @Creekside_fb alum Tai Lavatai! I caught up with Tai a couple weeks ago and he talked about how much this game means and how much he wanted to return for one more before his next step… an assignment to Surface Warfare.” Thus, it is apparent that the sailor is ready to devote his heart, mind, and soul to his team and hopefully lead them to victory today.

Tai has been the starting quarterback for the team throughout the season but couldn’t play after an injury. He missed the previous four games as well, but with his return, the Navy Midshipmen will want him to remain healthy and devoid of further injuries.

Though he hasn’t been able to consistently perform for the team, his stats this season have certainly managed to wow the fans. Tai has thrown over 522 passing yards with four touchdowns and only two interceptions. But while he’s a franchise player for the Navy Midshipmen, will he be enough to get the team back on track?
