Skip Bayless is re-stating his choice once and for all regarding Caleb Williams vs. Shedeur Sanders comparison. Ever since the college football season started, fans have been going on forever about which quarterback is better – the Colorado Buffaloes star or the USC Trojans icon. While this comparison might have many in a fix, Bayless isn’t one of them. 

Unquestionably, the 71-year-old sports TV personality always had a soft spot for Coach Prime Deion Sanders’ son. This is true to the extent that he even commented, “Look how awesome this Sanders kid is, he’s going to be a great NFL player one day.” However, after all that’s happening lately with the Colorado Buffaloes, his pick seems to be under scrutiny once again. But, Bayless knows how to deliver harsh facts.

The ESPN commentator took to The Skip Bayless Show to weigh his opinions on Caleb Williams and Shedeur Sanders. He based his opinions on Colorado’s last game against the Stanford Cardinal and the USC Trojans’ matchup against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Skip Bayless genuinely sounded impressed with Shedeur Sanders’ performance during the 29-0 first half, stating, “I think a lot of NFL scouts are still sleeping on Shedeur.

While Colorado fell in an unexpected defeat against Stanford 46-43, Skip Bayless expressed that Shedeur Sanders “put on a Heisman performance” in the first half with three touchdowns. And even though Skip Bayless remarked that Shedeur Sanders doesn’t have “his daddy’s wheels,” he still rated him “a better downfield runner than Caleb.”

Meanwhile, Caleb Williams didn’t play his best against Notre Dame, who beat USC with 48-20. Skip Bayless expressing his views regarding the same commented, “threw three interceptions and one touchdown.” He called Caleb Williams the “college Mahomes.” For the TV personality, the young QB is “the ultimate backyard quarterback. He is an escape artist of the highest order. He does get beat up and knocked around because of it because he’s going to hold the ball too long, and he’s going to take shots.

Shedeur Sanders and Caleb Williams are two top NFL prospects who both have impressive career stats. The 21-year-old Coach Prime’s son is at the top spot for the most passing yards at 2,420, while Caleb ranks 8th with 2,277. Shedeur Sanders’ completion rate is the nation’s 10th at 72%, while the Heisman Trophy winner is 15th at 70%.

Caleb Williams shines in touchdowns with 23 compared to Sanders’ 21 touchdowns. The Trojans star QBR leads at 8th with 84.7, while the Buffs QB’s QBR ranks 30th with 72.4. Even so, Skip Bayless remains unmoved in his choice when he stated, “He’s played sensational football given the situation into which he was thrust. I’m sorry, I’m still leaning Shedeur.”
