Is Carson Beck's dating life overshadowing his potential as a top QB? What's your take?

“Will be the no. 1 overall pick.” Now that folks, that is a big tag next to your name, and from what Bulldogs fans have seen so far, Carson Beck has not disappointed. With all the buzz around the NFL draft and the ongoing publications of the Mock Draft lists, one thing has been true; Carson Beck is a top contender for the top 5 pick spot, along with Will Campbell and Shedeur Sanders. Now, when you are this close to greatness, would you let yourself get distracted? After the dating rumors spilled out, according to some fans, it looks like Beck is getting “distracted.”

MLFootball shared a post on X on 9th July, reporting that Carson Beck is rumored to be dating influencer Hanna Cavinder. This brought out quite a bold reaction from some fans. “He is not gonna be a top 5 pick,” was something that a lot of people started mentioning regarding Beck. What’s funny is that this comment by a fan wasn’t really because of him dating someone, it was rather because of the statement on the post. “Beck is expected to be a top-5 pick in next year’s draft,” the post by MLFootball claimed. Some people weren’t happy about this.

However, one thing the Bulldogs fans would be happy to know is Hanna is quite established in her own right. The fifth-year guard for the Hurricanes, she has also amassed quite a following on her socials. Her personal Instagram has around 790K+ followers and her shared account with her sister (Known as Cavindertwins) has 300K+ followers. The young star is also sponsored by Under Armour and Slate Milk. The twins also have their own beauty brand called Hustlebeauty. With that out of the way, let’s dive deeper into some fan opinions regarding the scenario.

You’re getting distracted

One fan tweeted, “Already dealing with distractions,” accompanied by laughing emojis, suggesting that Beck’s focus might be compromised due to his high-profile relationship. Quite a weird claim and take on the scenario. The young QB has all the right to just breathe and enjoy life sometimes. Another fan was skeptical about Beck’s draft prospects, tweeting, “Top 5 pick? I don’t know what the scouts see.” This brings out a recurring theme of doubt about Beck’s abilities. However, such skepticism might overlook Beck’s strong stats this season, including his 72.4% completion rate and 3,941 passing yards.

Have an interesting take?

A more blunt reaction came from a fan who tweeted, “This ni**a is not a top 5 pick.” Now this is debatable, same as the other “Top 5 pick” comment. ESPN draft analyst Matt Miller had quite a high opinion regarding Beck. “Beck is the player who is the top quarterback in this class,” he had remarked because of Carson Beck’s ability to protect himself on the field and get things done. Some fans focused more positively on the news, with one tweeting, “He isn’t expected to be a Top 5 pick but this is great for him.” This was still a bit sweet, wishing the QB good luck for his relationship.

Finally, looks like Beck, being a contender for the top 5 picks, has turned into some sort of running gag between some fans. Now everyone is entitled to their own opinions and Beck himself will get his shot at proving these fans wrong.
