Deion Sanders is on a mission to turn things around for the Colorado Buffaloes after a rough 4-8 season last year. He’s thrown everything at his players, from lighthearted camps to grueling Navy SEAL-style training sessions. It’s a packed month for Coach Prime, but that doesn’t mean he can’t squeeze in some fun with an old friend.

Seeking a break from the intensity, Deion decided to unleash his inner rockstar with a jam session alongside rapper Snoop Dogg, even with his son Deion Sanders Jr. in the mix. These two icons share a love for both football and music, making for a truly unique collaboration.

A recent video posted on the Sko Buffs Daily Twitter account captured the epic moment. It shows Deion grooving to his 90s hit “Must Be the Money,” with Snoop Dogg humming along. The energy was so infectious that Deion even busted out some dance moves when his rap part came along.

The fun spread like wildfire. And Isiah Bolden, a Patriots cornerback who played under Deion at Jackson State, couldn’t resist sharing the video with a playful caption: “@DeionSanders you some else.” Clearly, Deion’s dance skills were a source of amusement for his former player.

Coach Prime, ever the entertainer, took it all in stride. He responded to Bolden’s jab with a playful reference to the song’s lyrics: “Lolololol last verse,” referencing the line “The lights don’t BLIND me, see I’m USED to the fame.” This exchange shows Deion’s ability to connect with his players on a personal level, even when they’re poking fun at him.

While Deion’s moves are generating a lot of buzz now, it’s worth noting that the song itself didn’t receive universal acclaim back in the day.

Deion Sanders’ rap career fumbled after “must be the money”

Back in the 90s, Deion Sanders was a master of juggling. He dominated not just one, but two professional sports – NFL and MLB. But his ambition didn’t stop there. While playing for the San Francisco 49ers, Deion decided to conquer the music world too. In 1994, he released his first single, “Prime Time.” Soon, fans figured a guy who excelled at two sports could surely rock the mic, and they initially embraced his music career.

He followed up with several singles that year, but his big shot at rap stardom – “Must Be the Money” – turned out to be a flop.  The lyrics were seen as overly braggy, boasting about his achievements with lines like “Baby, must be the money.” The dance moves, mediocre shots, and self-indulgent lyrics all contributed to making it his worst album.

While everyone thought Sanders’ music career was gone for good, his quarterback son recently emerged by releasing his single “Perfect Timings” in a similar style. It seems the Sanders family has a knack for self-indulgent lyrics, even if they aren’t always chart-toppers.
