The Colorado Buffaloes continue to shine bright despite the hate. With the recent release of the College Football 25 offensive power rankings, the Buffaloes have made it within the Top 10 spots, which won’t be easy for the Buffs’ haters to digest.
Travis Hunter, the shining star of the Colorado Buffaloes, reached a career high when he was featured on the cover of the upcoming EA Sports College Football game alongside Quinn Ewers and Donovan Edwards. This, coupled with the Buffaloes’ impressive No. 8 spot in the offensive power rankings, as shared by Deion Sanders Jr., has left Buffs’ fans with pride and excitement.

Bucky flaunts the Buffs’ milestone in the NCAA
On June 28, Sanders Jr. took to Instagram to post the recently published EA Sports’ College Football 25 offensive power rankings. Per the list, Coach Prime’s team ranks at the No. 8 position with an 89 overall rating, which is a mighty big deal for a team with only four wins in the 2023 season.

Bucky included a caption with the image, which said, “Them people about to be mad as hell,“ which is a dig at the haters that continue to drag the Buffs’ name through the mud despite their success or promising squad. The team ranks behind the likes of Georgia, Oregon, Alabama, and LSU, but the fact that Colorado has made it within the Top 10 also seems promising for their upcoming season. With all that said, here’s a look at Colorado’s defensive rating, which is not half as impressive as their offensive ranking.

Colorado doesn’t make the mark on the defensive rankings
While the Buffaloes’ 89 offensive rating is a cause for celebration, it’s clear that the team needs to make significant improvements to their defense. With an overall rating of 84, they currently sit at the 20th position, tied with 6 other teams. However, the growth potential is evident; with the right strategy, they can rise high. The Ohio State Buckeyes currently lead the pack with a formidable 96 rating.

Moreover, how Shedeur got sacked in the 2023 season made it evident that dire recent additions were necessary for the Buffs to sharpen their horns. Hopefully, with the addition of defensive players like Jordan Seaton, Preston Hodge, and DJ McKinney, Coach Prime can finally turn the program around. Hopefully, Shedeur doesn’t hit the ground too often now.
