Shedeur Sanders surely thinks highly of himself as per his recent statement, but unfortunately, that bubble is being burst by an Oklahoma alumni. The Colorado QB is riding on a lot of expectations and hopes of the Buffs’ fans since this is his last season in Boulder but he needs to tone down on the overconfidence since his claims of being a mix of Brady and Vick, are being mocked by everyone.

Shedeur Sanders, the star QB for the Colorado Buffaloes, glimmers with pride despite not seeing a lot of success on the gridiron. Even though the Buffaloes only had 4 wins last season, the QB and the team continue to stand strong on the belief that they’re one of the best teams in the program. If Shedeur’s constant showboating of his money and cars wasn’t drawing enough bad attention, he’s certainly pushed the buttons of the fans by comparing himself to the 7x SB winner and the former Atlanta Falcons QB.

Marshall Levenson shuts down Shedeur Sanders over his Tom Brady comparison

On 10th June, the page NFL Rumors reported that Shedeur Sanders had commented on comparing himself to the mix of Michael Vick and the GOAT of football, Tom Brady. It is worth mentioning that Shedeur hasn’t yet stepped foot into the NFL and hasn’t really made a dent on the green in college football either.

As such, Oklahoma alumni, Marshall Levenson, was quick to fire back and write, “Colorado Shedeur Sanders is wrong”. Many more fans resonated with Levenson’s feelings and roasted Sanders in the replies. One fan even called out his arrogance and wrote, “He is not even remotely either of those. Just another overhyped kid with a famous last name.” Thus, Shedeur continues to have it rough in the world of social media, whether it be online beef or controversial statements, but this time, he threw an axe on his own two feet. It’s almost ironic that he’s being criticized over his comparisons to Brady when the former Patriots‘ QB basically mentored him back in 2023.

Tom Brady is “always here” for Shedeur Sanders

The Colorado QB shares a great equation with Tom Brady, but surprisingly, doesn’t seem to replicate any of his talents on the gridiron. Additionally, Brady has mentored Sanders for years, if not personally, he’s always been giving him tips through digital communication. Moreover, Brady has also signed Sanders to an NIL deal with his apparel company, Brady Brand.

During one episode of the appearance on the Let’s Go! Podcast with Jim Gray and Larry Fitzgerald, Brady explained his sheer interest in Shedeur and talked about his talents. He said, “I’m always here for him. Because in him I see someone who has a great work ethic but wants knowledge too. I think all of us on this call had so many people in our lives which allowed us to be successful.” Shedeur could very well go on to become as great as Brady someday if he keeps his feet on the ground and focuses more on the game.
