Shilo Sanders has suffered from many injuries over his playing career, the most recent of which needed a minor surgery. And while his father couldn’t miss the Buffs’ practice to stay by his side, Coach Prime connected with him on a quick call just before the surgery to uplift his spirits by delivering a dose of humor. 

Shilo has consistently been ranked by Deion as his #1 favorite kid, above Deion Jr., Shedeur, Deiondra and Shelomi. In a recent upload by Reach the People Media, Coach Prime Deion Sanders was filmed as he facetimed the Colorado safety just before his surgery happened.

Shilo Sanders has finally considered fixing his right pinky finger by undergoing surgery recently. The father-duo shared some light-hearted moments as the 23-year-old flashed his pinky and Coach Prime joked, “You mess with my finger your whole life now look at yours… Pinkies don’t even count though.”

In another YouTube video, Shilo Sanders spoke of how he played at South Carolina and redshirted because he tore his ACL. At Jackson State, he faced another ACL injury and he remarked showing his broken pinky finger, “And my pinky is messed up now.” Another full season played at Colorado and Shilo Sanders is taking matters into his hands as he gets his pinky fixed. Not everyone is as fortunate as Deion Sanders and his sons who share a goofy, yet admirable relationship where everyone is aware of the fine line between respect and disrespect.

Coach Prime pulls a prank on Shilo Sanders 

A recent upload by Well Off Media captured Coach Prime concocting a prank in his safety son’s absence. In the video, he teased Shilo Sanders about taking away his Christmas present as he pulled out two fat envelopes and gave them to his sons Shedeur Sanders and Deion ‘Bucky’ Sanders Jr. As for Shilo Sanders who wasn’t present, he said, “Shilo, I’m taking money out yours.”

The reaction of Coach Prime’s sons at receiving and not receiving the present is interesting. His QB son playfully snatched the envelopes from his hands while Bucky exclaimed, “Oh man! This is a blessing.” Shilo Sanders protested to Coach Prime on a live video call saying, “You can’t do that. That’s wrong.” 

Humor is usually one of the things that keeps a bond alive. And in the Sanders’ household, that’s something you’ll find aplenty as long as Shilo Sanders is around. Hopefully, he’ll soon be back to the Buffs training ground after a speedy recovery without anyone ever having to talk about his crooked pinky ever again!
