Deion Sanders demanded a $100M contract, and everyone is paying huge attention to it. He has been responsibly keeping up his high-profile role as the HC of the Colorado Buffaloes. The HC has had a significant impact on thе institution’s reputation, thе prеss, businеss, and thе Bouldеr еconomy. Sandеrs’ influеncе has rеsultеd in TV nеtworks lining up to broadcast his gamеs, companies purchasing advеrtisеmеnts during thеsе gamеs.

Therefore, it just makes sense for him to demand a $100M contract. However, the journalist Jason Whitlock intervened to mock that demand. He has been critical of Sanders, comparing him to LaVar Ball. “Deion is nothing more than LaVar Ball with someone who is foolish enough to give him $5-$6 million to coach their team.” However, the Buffaloes’ beloved analyst, Skip Bayless, stood up against that criticism to defend GOAT Prime.

They have their statements ready, saying the Buffs have had a poor record this season, and so Sanders is in no position to demand $100M. Jason Whitlock is one of the doubters. He has always had a keen eye for the opportunities to criticize Sanders. However, while he is too focused on the team’s performance against Washington, he has neglected Prime’s impact on the university and the changes he has brought.

Deion Sanders has been recognized for his unique coaching techniques and has improved the Buffaloes’ performance step-by-step over time. Skip Bayless has acknowledged that, too, saying, “He turned that program from rock bottom nowhere into competitive out of the box… It’s phenomenal what he has done with that program overnight, turning it completely upside down.”

David Ubben of ‘The Athletic’ mentioned, “They were the worst Power Five team in the country last year. They played five or six games where pretty much the other team could’ve scored as many points as they wanted to. I think they had 1,800 – something like that – people show up for the spring game last year.” The Buffaloes were an unpopular team before coach Sanders showed up, and he has brought all the changes along with him.

This year, as Ubben said, the Buffs had more than 50,000 people showing up for the game despite a snowstorm. He said, “Deion is Deion, and I think that’s part of what attracted him to Colorado – is that they were desperate, and they needed him badly. And he feels like he’s a change agent.

Ubben also added that it’s just how Sanders conducts himself with all the swag and big talk that often rubs people the wrong way. And it seems like that is the case with Jason Whitlock as well. What do you think about it?
