When there’s a passion for going far in sports, it’s all about expanding your network. Milroe seems to follow in his former head coach Nick Saban’s footsteps, whose broad connection made him a potential running mate. In Milroe’s first bonding experience in New York, he met with New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge on Wednesday to exchange gifts. But while people thought that’s all, he also created a buzz in soccer.

A recent Instagram post by mancity surfaced on July 26 with a picture of Alabama’s signal-caller and 22-year-old Croatian defender Josko Gvardiol with the caption, “Making new friends over in New York City!” The athletes posed with their respective football and soccer jerseys before trading with each other to seal a friendship between the stars.

While this move has become the talk, Milroe also made a similar move with Judge before their home game against the New York Mets. The 21-year-old college football star handed Judge a No. 99 Alabama football jersey and received a bat in return. With these events, Jalen Milroe ensures he’s making memories from his trip to the Big Apple. But that isn’t the reason he’s in New York.

Jalen Milroe’s New York media ventures

The main reason behind Milroe’s trip is because of his interview with two prominent media talk shows based in NYC. In a fantastic feat by the college football standout, he booked a brief interview with one of the nation’s top four TV networks, CBS. He appeared on CBS Mornings for a few minutes to share quick thoughts about Alabama, Nick Saban’s retirement, and the NIL landscape.

Still, that wasn’t the only media appearance he made in the Big Apple. He also appeared on ESPN’s First Take to share why he remained in Alabama after many players left with Saban’s retirement. “I’m all about staying committed to my goals and my goal is to get my master’s degree from the University of Alabama.” It’s an enormous leap for Milroe, who made it to these big shows, and it only implies that his popularity is on an ever-growing stage.
