The Sugar Bowl is happening in a few days and the stars of the Texas Longhorns are ready to face the undefeated Washington Huskies on Monday. With their rushing defense ranking No. 4 in the nation, there is a good chance for Texas to make history with their first playoff appearance. But that might happen only if the offense is protected and backed by the team as a whole.

There is no secret that there is a very special connection between the Texas QB and TE, be it on or off the field. And JT Sanders isn’t about to keep his thoughts to himself about Ewers cutting off his mullet. He said of his new buzz cut, “His whole demeanor changed after he cut that mullet… He went from a kid to an adult, and it shows.” Their on-field chemistry was evident in their Week 4 game against Baylor. JT Sanders blocked a tackle to give space to Ewers for a touchdown, ultimately leading to a 38-6 victory, their first Big-12 conference season game.
