May 18 was a day of pure joy for Deiondra Sanders’ partner, Jacquees. The baby gender reveal party was a moment of high anticipation, with Jacquees hoping for a baby boy. His wish was granted when the smoke turned a vibrant blue, marking the start of a new chapter in their lives. Now, he can look forward to a mini-Jacquees to share his world with. 

Meanwhile, Deiondra Sanders shared her happiness with everybody on and off the screen. After consistently updating her fans with her pregnancy news, she recently took to her social media to give an update on the baby. And it has to do with last names.

Deiondra Sanders wants the baby to have her and Jacquees’ last name

Deiondra Sanders, now officially a boy mom, has made a decision about their child’s last name. In a recent post, she clarified, “What I SAID was my last name will be going in our childs name because I am not married and still use my last name.” This decision echoes her previous statement about her pregnancy, emphasizing the importance of her little boy in her life. 

Deiondra previously wrote, “I’m not having my baby to keep a man. I’m having my baby for all the times I was told I wouldn’t be able to.” This indicates how important the child is to her, and it’s only fair that she gets the honor of giving her last name to her “miracle” child. But she also showed love to her partner Jacquees by letting him have the honor of giving his last name to the son he had so highly anticipated. We wonder what it could be – Sanders Broadnax, Broadnax Sanders? We never know. 

Marriage and last name

Jacquees, like most fathers, expressed that he would like the child to be named after him if it was a boy. Now that it’s a boy, Deiondra Sanders isn’t going to settle for it. She said in a video, “I’m not agreeing to that. I’m sorry. It technically can’t be a Jr.” 

Adamant Jacquees insisted, but Deiondra Sanders was as adamant as she said, “But Sanders-Broadnax is not a Jr… [So] that’s not happening, cause I’m not married. So my last name is going as well.” We can only wish the best for the couple in their upcoming journey.
