“We Will Smash”: Sherrone Moore Issues Clear Warning to Ohio State & Co. After Being Appointed As Michigan HC

The Michigan Wolverines have chosen a new leader to help guide them for next season. After Harbaugh’s ambiguous decisions regarding his future, he has finally chosen to sign with the LA Chargers in the NFL. While the fans wish him well, the team has already moved on and chosen Sherrone Moore to replace the CFP championship-winning coach.

Moore has been with the team since 2018, over 6 years with sheer determination. He signed on to the team as the tight ends coach but was later elected as the offensive coordinator. For all these years, Moore has worked his way up the hierarchal ladder to be a fan favorite. And that love from the fans played a major role in him becoming head coach today. Additionally, in a recent statement, he expressed the mission of the team under his coaching and warned Ohio State Buckeyes for the upcoming season.

It has been confirmed as per recent sources that Sherrone Moore will be the one to replace Jim Harbaugh after much speculations. The offensive coordinator has finally been promoted, much to fans’ relief. During Harbaugh’s suspension due to the sign-stealing controversies, he took over the reins for 4 matches and didn’t let the team’s performance deescalate.

In response to his anointment as the newest Michigan HC, he said, “We will continue to attack each day with an enthusiasm unknown to mankind. And I promise you: We will SMASH.” Additionally, his words come across as a warning for the other teams, specifically to the Ohio State Buckeyes, the team’s arch-rival. The Michigan Wolverines were also considering candidates like Brian Kelly for the position, but the fans were dead set on demanding Moore for the job. Moreover, in Moore’s first interview as HC, he expressed his love for the team and said that he never wants to let go of it.

Moore’s first interview as head coach sees him express utter appreciation for the team

The appointment of Moore as the new head coach for Michigan is the first time the team will be seeing a Black HC. It’s an enormous feat for him as he spent the last six years devoting his blood, sweat, and tears to the glory of Ann Arbour. Regarding his continued love and support for the team, Moore had a lot of words to say about Michigan.

He said, “I’ve grown tremendously in every phase, from a leadership standpoint, a delegation standpoint, a football standpoint, personal, recruiting … the love for Michigan is undeniable and really indescribable for me. This place is special. When you come here and you feel it, it’s a lot different. It’s something I don’t ever want to let go.” Thus, it’s evident that the 37-year-old HC is ecstatic to finally be leading his beloved team but realises the pressure of the job as well.  Thus, as the next season approaches, it will be interesting to see whether Moore will live up to Harbaugh’s legacy or not.
