According to the University of Texas Athletics, Wiley is said to be the son of Kim Wiley and Tommy Wiley. While details about his parents’ occupations remain private (and might come out after he starts his NFL career), we know he has two sisters, Emily and Hannah. Emily works as a realtor according to her Instagram, but not much is know about Hannah.  For now, the rest of his family background is under wraps, but his potential on the football field is definitely making headlines.

Wiley’s potential stays hidden under his limited experience

This year’s tight end class is stacked with many superstar prospects and Brock Bowers leads their way. However, Wiley still stands out with his impressive 6’6″ height and 249-pound frame. At TCU, Wiley was a versatile threat, excelling both as a pass-catcher and a blocker. He lined up in various formations, including H-back and even wide receiver at times. While he also played some traditional in-line tight end snaps, his value for the Horned Frogs was his adaptability.

However, the main drawback of Wiley is his limited experience early in his college career. He struggled to see significant action during his first three seasons at TCU, managing only 19 receptions for 248 yards. Additionally, his 4.62-second 40-yard dash at the Combine doesn’t scream elite speed. These factors likely contributed to his later draft selection, potentially ranking over 122nd overall.  Despite these challenges, the young tight end has plenty of raw potential and could thrive well under the right coaching in his new NFL home.
