Mike Sainristil has excelled as a wide receiver and defensive back for the Michigan Wolverines. His remarkable skills were first noticed at Everett High School, where he earned the Massachusetts Gatorade Player of the Year for the 2018-2019 season. 

After committing to the University of Michigan in November 2018, Sainristil started his collegiate career as a wide receiver before switching to a defensive back in 2022. His outstanding play has been recognized with significant honors, including a USA Today High School All-American title in 2018 and a First-team All-Big Ten selection in 2023. Seliana Carvalho, Mike Sain Ristil’s girlfriend, is a former collegiate soccer player who studied at American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts, after attending Lawrence Academy in Groton, Massachusetts. With a strong foundation in soccer, she shifted her focus to performance psychology, pursuing graduate studies in the field. After college, Carvalho decided to take her learning to the next level and embark on a coaching career. She began initially by guiding young soccer players at Greenhills School from March 2022 to March 2023.

She then transitioned to Acadia Healthcare, where she served as a Clinical Case Manager. In February 2023, she accepted a position as the Head Soccer Coach at Taylor Preparatory High School, continuing to mentor and develop aspiring athletes. Beyond her roles in healthcare and education, Carvalho is also dedicated to personal development, working as a “success coach.” She offers online coaching sessions aimed at helping individuals set and achieve their personal and professional goals. The couple recently shared an adorable news with their followers on social media.

The couple is expecting!

Seliana Carvalho and Mike Sainristil recently announced that they are expecting their first child. The couple shared the exciting news on Instagram, where Seliana posted a photo with Sainristil, excitedly captioning it, “Soon to be family of 3.” Expressing his joy and anticipation, Sainristil talked about his extra motivation, knowing they would soon welcome their new addition. 

Just days after the initial announcement, on December 14, 2023, the couple posted a gender reveal video, where they shared their preferences—Sainristil hoped for a boy while Carvalho wished for a girl. The reveal joyously declared they were expecting a girl. Overjoyed, Sainristil looks forward to becoming a devoted father to his daughter, aspiring to be the best “girl dad.”
