Kelsey Plum triggers a fighting spirit in Washington before the Pac-12 Championship game

With Washington reaching the championship games unbeaten, they have drawn in the interest of their fellow college players who have made it to the game in Las Vegas to show their support. Just minutes before the game kickoff, WNBA star player Kelsey Plum gave a powerful hype to the Washington players as she yelled on camera, “Where my dawgs at! Let’s go!” And Washington’s “gotta lotta dawgs in the house!!!

Kelsey Plum was a star college basketball player in Washington from 2013-17 before she was drafted as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 WNBA draft by the Las Vegas Aces. During her tenure there, she even helped her team earn a bid for the NCAA title but unfortunately it didn’t meet fruition.

This season, Washington emerged as one of the top college football programs with an undefeated record of 12-0. They lead 9-0 in the Pac-12. Meanwhile, the Ducks have an overall season record of 11-1 (8-1 in Pac-12) as they prepare to face their conference rival at the Pac-12 championship game.

The two teams met in Week 7 during the regular season where Washington defeated Oregon 36-33. The game became the most-watched college football game of the week. But even after the loss, Oregon star QB Bo Nix has managed to lead his team to face the Huskies again. Both the teams will be joining the Big Ten and the winner will not only win the conference title but also potentially clinch a spot for a playoff berth.
