Deion Sanders, the coach for the Colorado Buffaloes, has landed the newest recruit who is a longtime friend’s son from 1992. The 56-year-old coach has been on an extensive mission to revamp the Buffaloes squad ever since the disappointing season last year. And with his newest recruit, Alabama will be heartbroken as they lost yet another part of the team.

After Nick Saban announced his decision to retire from football, Shedeur Sanders, the QB for Colorado, swooped in to ask Alabama players to join the team. Nick Saban was with the team for 17 years before deciding on his exit following Alabama’s loss to Michigan in the CFP playoffs. And while Alabama is currently recovering from losing the most vital part of the team, Colorado’s newest recruit will inflict salt on their wound.

It has been recently announced that WWE legend, Bill Goldberg’s son, Gage Goldberg has decided to commit to the Colorado Buffaloes. The 17-year-old linebacker was previously offered as a PWO by Alabama before finally choosing Colorado.

Coach Prime himself goes way back with Goldberg, as both of them used to be teammates during their time with the Atlanta Falcons in 1992. Additionally, it seems Alabama keeps receiving the sour grapes of the bunch as they have already lost their coach Nick Saban this week. Now, with Gage also choosing Colorado over Alabama, it will be interesting to see the matchup between these two teams next season. With all that said, here’s a look at the interesting bromance between Deion and Goldberg.

In the words of Chuck Smith, a Falcons defensive end, he said, “Goldberg was Deion’s ace in the hole,” says Chuck Smith, a Falcons defensive end. “So anyone who wanted to deal with Deion would have to go through Mr. Goldberg. He’d walk into the ring, and nobody would mess with him.” The two shared an interesting chemistry and the fans are hoping that they can reunite on the sidelines once again soon.
