But, the former MVP did not make an appearance this week. McAfee explained that it was because of the QB’s meeting with the Packers. He said, “As of this morning we’ve been told that there will be no Aaron Rodgers Tuesday today.” He added, “That’s because Aaron Rodgers is meeting with the Packers today and tomorrow. These are said to be lengthy meetings.” That is quite an ominous sentence.

Until Rodgers makes a statement, the NFL world will assume the best

There can be only two possible outcomes from these ‘lengthy meetings’. Either the QB stays with the Packers or bids them adieu. Rogers hasn’t been very open about what he plans to do after the season. Most of his comments were usually vague or guarded. If A-Rod still wishes to continue in the league but continue his journey elsewhere, what would that mean? For one, it opens up an avenue for Jordan Love to step out of Rodgers’ shadow and take the reins.

On the other hand, Rodgers will find suitors because there is no shortcoming of teams in dire need of a top-tier QB. But, these meetings may be more of a season wrap-up. The NFL world may find themselves reading about Rodgers’ decision to stay back with the Packers in a few weeks. The QB may have dropped a hint about his plans but one can never be too sure. For now, fans will stay tuned for the A-Rod’s segment next Tuesday in hopes that McAfee will be able to squeeze out a few answers from the coy QB.
