The 2021 NFL Draft is fast approaching. Teams will be looking to bring in some fresh new faces to their organization and fill the voids on their respective rosters.

As predicted, quarterbacks are in high demand this summer but one non-QB that stands in the upcoming draft is 20-year-old tight Kyle Pitts.

Who will draft Florida Gators TE Kyle Pitts this summer?

Speaking on the NFL Network, former Super Bowl winner Shaun O’Hara was joined by lead analyst Peter Schrager earlier today. The pair spoke about the upcoming 2021 NFL Draft and wondered who’d be the first non-QB to be selected. Here’s what Schrager replied.

He said, “I think it’s going to be Pitts and I think he’s gonna break ground. I think this is one of those rare prospects where it’s like, here’s what history has told us, but this guy’s just an alien…

“I put out the mock draft last week and the response I got around the league was that I didn’t value Kyle Pitts high enough and I had him going 7th overall, saying that there’s no way Atlanta, Cincinnati, and Miami would all let him fall and take somebody else.

“Now historically, offensive tackle – pass rusher – quarterback that’s where you see your Top-5 picks, maybe a wide receiver here and there.

“In this case, I think tight end and I think he’s the first one off the board. I just don’t know which, Atlanta, if it’s Cincinnati or if it’s Miami,” Schrager said on the show.

In his 3 seasons with the Florida Gators, Pitts has 1,492 receiving yards and 18 receiving TDs on 100 receptions. He impressed playing along with quarterback Kyle Trask last season, catching 12 TDs. He never dropped a touchdown pass in the redzone while at Florida.

The likes of Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, and Miami Dolphins have been linked with Pitts in recent weeks. Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys have reportedly ‘fallen in love’ with the youngster as they look to further strengthen their offense.
