The 2021 NFL Draft event is scheduled to be held on April 29, 2020. This year’s event will be held in Ohio and will be a three-day affair. However, that could change in the coming months with respect to any updates on COVID-19 regulations. Trevor Lawrence, Justin Fields, Trey Lance all feature in 2021 NFL Draft

Without a doubt, this is one of the richest quarterback draft classes in recent years. Of the last 20 first-overall picks, 15 have been quarterbacks. We expect the same trend to follow in 2021 as the Jaguars continue to court Trevor Lawrence. Despite undergoing recent shoulder surgery on his non-throwing arm, Lawrence is expected to be fit in time for preseason.

But the likes of Fields, Wilson, Lance, and CFP National Champion Mac jones, are also attracting attention from multiple NFL scouts. There is a strong possibility that the top-four picks at this year’s draft could all be quarterbacks. New York Jets, Miami Dolphins, and Atlanta Falcons own the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th pick respectively for this year’s draft.

Rober Saleh-coached Jets are in need of a new quarterback. They are reportedly ready to part ways with Sam Darnold with Deshaun Watson also being linked. But someone like Justin Fields or Trey Lance could also be a potential option at number two.

The Dolphins could trade their third overall pick in exchange for Watson so the Texans can move in for a potential replacement. Matt Ryan’s declining age means that the Falcons are also in the hunt for a young quarterback as they look to kickstart a new era. It’s exciting times in the NFL and we can’t wait to see how the 2021 NFL Draft unfolds.
