According to Sean Gregory, the author of the Times article, Williams seriously thinks Kaepernick has a chance to win the Super Bowl. But if an NFL team ever gave him another chance to play in the league. The reason for this is that he is determined.

The 23-time Grand Slam Champ tells the TIME author, “He’d have so much to prove. I would. I can’t imagine he would be any different. ‘Man, I’m about to show out. Y’all gonna see stuff you’ve never seen before.’”

In February 2013, Colin Kaepernick came very close to directing the San Francisco 49ers to glory in Super Bowl XLVII. He hasn’t performed in the NFL since the 2016 season ended. Kap has remained unsigned ever since.

Serena Williams believes Colin Kaepernick isn’t deterred after his release

Serena Williams, who already has met Kaepernick twice, believes he is happy even when he is not on the football pitch. She further claims that Kaepernick is not a beaten man as a direct consequence of his untimely exit from the Sports world. He is deeply committed to a purpose and is content with his life. He mentions, “He hasn’t lost his joy… Colin is happy with what he’s doing. Some people are different. He’s just different.”

The tennis legend actively participated in Kaepernick’s “10 for 10” challenging task, wherein celebs paired his $10,000 in charitable contributions. Williams ended up choosing the charitable organization, Imagine LA. While Kap works to bring that back, his humanitarian efforts remain consistent.
