Fans react to the post-game comments from Russell Wilson
Russell Wilson is a Super Bowl winner. But his form since his trade from the Seahawks hasn’t been what the fans expected. And his off-field activities also draw attention.
The Broncos defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars in game week eight as Wilson returned to the starting lineup after injury. And the QB posted a message for the fans after the game. ‘Let’s Ride baby,’ he tweeted with a video praising the team’s game. The fans were not impressed by the performance though and slammed the QB.

This is the performance of $50M per year QB?
Week 8 – 84.3 RYG.
Most employers would terminate employees for similar poor performance. Unacceptable.

The fans want to see the old Wilson, that the Broncos thought they were getting, back. Can he win them back to his corner?

Wilson’s season so far
Russell Wilson joined the Broncos after the 2021 season in a trade deal. But he hasn’t really set the league on fire. The QB has played seven out of the eight games for the team this season. In those games, the Bronco won just thrice. He missed the week seven loss to the New York Jets due to a hamstring injury.
Wilson has a completion rate of 58.8%, completing 134 of the 228 pass attempts. He has thrown just six touchdown passes in seven games. The opposing defenses have intercepted four of his passes.

Even in the 21-17 win against the Jaguars, he completed 18 of his 30 passes. He threw one touchdown and an interception. Denver is third in the AFC West division table. Their hopes were on Wilson to take them to the playoffs. For that, the team will have to improve on their current 3-5 record.
The Broncos will take on the Tennessee Titans in game week nine and try to build on this win. Can they make it to the playoffs?
