NFL GOAT Tom Brady and Co. developed a physical education curriculum ‘TB12’. It is now present in ten schools in Tampa. A Florida school is experimenting with this method in PE class. Some physical experts raised concerns about its suitability for school children. However, the idea, emphasized on kids’ nutrition and health, has generated a lot of interest among students and teachers.

Speaking in an interview, the 45-year-old NFL legend outlined his vision for this learning method. “I feel like everything I’ve learned over the course of 23 years in football will allow me to continue to help people in different ways,” he said. According to him, TB12 is his idea of giving back to society.

What is the TB12 method and how is Tom Brady involved in it?

The NFL titan is the co-founder of TB12. The idea of TB12 is that everyone can benefit from a smarter and holistic approach to health and wellness. It deals with innovative recovery practices, addressing injuries, and working intensively for physical strength. The body coach concept is modeled after TB’s relationship with co-founder Alex Guerrero.

The Physical Education Method is a series of healthy daily habits. In a nutshell, the program aims to help the children integrate recovery, pliability, nutrition, functional strength, and conditioning into their lives.

Many educators fear some activities of TB12 are not rooted in good science but are not based on actual science as well. They raise a concern about TB12’s suggestion to avoid foods such as tomatoes, pepper, and eggplants, citing inflammation.
