NFL legend and former San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Terrell Owens did provide some valuable advice to QB Colin Kaepernick. Owens was suggesting that Kaepernick could bide his time while playing in the Fan Controlled Football League. The recent addition to the FC Zappers team, Owens believes that playing in the FCFL will be his ticket to the NFL.
He believes that the league’s platform will benefit Kaepernick greatly if the former 49ers star would suit up for some games. It will provide the perfect stage for an audition that Kaepernick can provide for his potential suitors. While the former 49ers QB hasn’t played since 2016 in the NFL, Owens sees this as a golden opportunity.

While talking about Kaepernick playing in the FCF, Owens states, “I feel like he could come in and use this to sharpen his skill set. Especially because there’s some questions about him not playing for such a long time.” The shorter format of the NFL game means only exciting chances for a QB like Kaepernick and a fresh start.
Colin Kaepernick is still in with a chance
Owens believes that Kaepernick can develop some aspects of his game even more while playing in a fresh new league. The exciting league is slated to begin soon, and Kaepernick could be a star addition to any FCFL team. While this could be his realistic chance, Kaepernick continues with a dream return to the NFL.
