The Green Bay Packers are at a polarizing point. The franchise is running through one of the most underwhelming seasons. With Aaron Rodgers holding the fort, he is getting all the blame for the team’s continuous losses. In fact, some NFL analysts have proposed benching A-Rod for the remainder of the season. Former NFL DE also heard the notion and has his take.

During ESPN’s Get Up broadcast, the panel discusses the possibility of benching Aaron Rodgers after their exit from playoff contention. Some panelists agree with the notion. But ex-NFL DE Marcus Spears seems to have a problem with A-Rod and his failures despite the Packers giving him everything they wanted.

Marcus Spears mentioned, “I got so many issues. First of all, back to the $50 million. That’s why you ain’t putting Jordan Love in the game. The other thing is this: When you get to this point and you’re Aaron Rodgers, this is when people really find out about who you are. This is all of that leadership talk.”

“All of that, the guys need to play better. All of that, we don’t have the requisite pieces, and we should, I’m hopeful that we get Chase Claypool and all of these things. All of the 50 million one-dollar bills that the Green Bay Packers gave you is to handle situations that you’re in right now; That’s why you’re the quarterback. That’s why they think you’re the leader,” He added

The ex-NFL DE targeted Rodgers’ off-season movements when he went on a vacation with Shailene Woodley and dressed up as Nicolas Cage. Spears has a lot of frustration over the QB1.

It will be difficult for Aaron Rodgers and the Packers to regain traction. The team is having a terrible season, and the injury crisis could be to blame. A-Rod is experiencing widespread criticism, particularly from on-screen commentators. But the QB1 couldn’t care less about their criticism of him.
