Whoop is a wearable device developer that tracks heart rate, sleep patterns, and other health data. Will Ahmed, a Harvard University graduate, had the idea. He desired to understand how to employ technology to aid individuals in developing their wellness, strength, and conditioning. Ahmed, Nicolae, and Capodilupo are co-founders of the privately owned start-up company.
According to Forbes, in 2020, Whoop was worth more than $1 billion. In addition, the company raised $100 million in a Series E funding round, valuing the company at $1.2 billion. The product was distinct from competing products. It lacks a screen, pop-up notifications, and the ability to make phone calls through the device. It solely focuses on health and fitness tracking.
