The Denver Broncos have traveled to England to play one of the NFL’s international games this Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Broncos team is enduring a terrible season so far and their star quarterback, Russell Wilson, received a lot of criticism for it.

He missed the last game against the Jets due to a hamstring injury. As he was trying to recover from that injury, he traveled with his team to London to play the game against the Jaguars. During the duration of the flight, he was reportedly doing high knees while doing treatment on his injured hamstring.

Russell Wilson was working out mid-flight
After landing in London, the QB told the reporters about working on his legs while his teammates were sleeping. He said, “I was walking up and down the aisles. Everybody was knocked out, I was doing high knees and working on my legs and everything else, making sure I’m ready to rock.”
For context & clarity, here's Russell Wilson's full answer on how he spent the flight from Denver to London.
Think it's an important distinction that he did four hours of treatment on his injured hamstring. Doesn't mean he was doing high-knees in the aisles for hours. pic.twitter.com/e67eOQjYuq

Notably, the flight was around eight hours long and Wilson was training inside the plane for four hours. According to him, he watched films and got some sleep during the rest of the flight. After that, he felt good in the practice, as his hamstring was not bothering him as much.

“I felt good to go once we got back and then Coach [Hackett] did a great job. Coach [Loren] Landow and the whole coaching staff, they had us do a little movement, so we got here, did a little movement, I did my workout, did all that. Then I maybe rested for about two to three hours once I got home, and I feel great,” he further said.

Should the Broncos shut Wilson down for the rest of the season?
After a record-breaking trade from the Seattle Seahawks this offseason, Russell Wilson did not look like himself, as many started to question his game. However, the Broncos and the head coach, Nathaniel Hackett, backed the 33-year-old quarterback so far this season.

There were plenty of rumors that the Broncos were willing to shut Wilson down for the rest of the season after he missed the Jets game. It seems like that’s not the case, as the quarterback has traveled to London to take on the Jaguars. They have already lost 5 games this season and the playoffs are looking impossible at the moment. However, they could still win a few games and cause some upsets in the league, which will help them in the next season.
