Just like the spectators, athletic stars also want to excel in their fields despite aging. Something Tom Brady has done all these years and is continuing to do so. Even Houston Astros pitcher Justin Verlander has a similar goal, which he mentions on his birthday. He has the desire to become the Tom Brady of baseball.
Tom Brady is a sheer example of what an athlete should be. He is 44 but still outshines as a quarterback. Moreover, TB12 set the NFL franchises on notice after unretiring and laying hands over some unfinished business with the Buccaneers. He couldn’t keep his hands off the ball even after declaring his retirement.

In 2019, ESPN interviewed the eight-time MLB All-Star pitcher on his 36th birthday. He was close to the age of 40. Typically, most players call it quits after hitting that mark. But Verlander has no intention of leaving, even if his contract is up. He aspires to become the Tom Brady of baseball, playing championship games in his 40s.

The Astros Pitcher mentions, “I think the goal is to be healthy and to be strong as long as I can. I think as long as I pay attention to my body and I take care of things that typically would creep in and start to cause issues as you get older, I think you can address those early on. And I think treating that stuff before it becomes an issue is what makes it not become an issue, as easy as that sounds. But there’s no set number for me. I think I just want to pitch as long as I can.”

When Tom Brady first entered the NFL, it was all about exertion and devotion. TB12 enjoys playing golf in his spare time. During the offseason, one can frequently find him swinging a club on the putting green. However, the golfing tour did not have a good start, and various entities trolled him for it.
