Tom Brady cashed in all his Christmas luck on Sunday when the Buccaneers rallied to win 19-16 in overtime against the Arizona Cardinals. Brady threw two interceptions in the game. However, Tampa Tom engineered the comeback drive and field goal specialist Ryan Succop drilled the final nail. However, Brady isn’t completely happy with the situation right now.

After his first Christmas game in his decorated 23-year career, Tom Brady has a new outlook on the game he so dearly loves. The seven-time Super Bowl champion is the most-winning quarterback in NFL history, and being on a 7-8 team is not something Brady is used to. And he wants the new year to start on the absolute correct note with a win over their divisional rivals, the Carolina Panthers.

Hope you all had a great holiday. More football to come. I’m excited to be out there this Sunday. Hopefully, we play a lot better and you get the happiest of me next Monday, which I will very much look forward to,” the Tampa Bay Buccaneers signal-caller said.

Tom Brady isn’t the only one desperate for the win and the NFC South situation is complex

The Bucs still top the NFC South Division. However, a loss next week against the Carolina Panthers next week can reverse the fortunes. The Panthers can level up with a 7-9 record with a win over Brady and Co. And that will put a lot of load on their final regular season fixture against another divisional rival, the Atlanta Falcons.

Tampa Bay head coach Todd Bowles relayed the same sentiments after the Cardinals win on Sunday. “We need a win. They need a win,” Bowles said in the post-game presser as he predicted a tough matchup next Sunday at the Raymond James Stadium. Bowles and Brady can clinch the division with a win. And there is zero room for error.

Brady does have more than 4100 passing yards this season with 21 touchdowns. However, he has now had three consecutive two-interception games for the first time in over two decades. And with a running offense that ranks last in the NFL, Brady will count offensively on his wideouts and tights for the remaining games. Mike Evans and Julio Jones need to step up to the plate now that the post-season is rolling in. And Tampa Tom’s new year’s mood rests on them.
