Gisele Bündchen has seen her share of ups and down as a mother. Opening up about the difficulties she faced after becoming a mother, the model delved into the struggles in her memoir.

Bündchen and seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady are parents to son Benjamin and daughter Vivian. Bündchen is also a step-mom to Jack Brady’s son from his relationship with Bridget Moynahan.

Gisele Bündchen opens up about the struggles of motherhood

Speaking of the challenges she’s had to overcome, the Brazilian model said in an interview with People Magazine, “When I became a mom, I kind of lost myself. It was like a part of me died.”

Stating that she had always been an independent person, she added, “All I ever wanted was to be a mom, but when you’re actually experiencing that, it’s a shock.”
