A few days back, 4-time MVP Aaron Rodgers went into his much talked about ‘darkness retreat’ at the Ashland, Oregon facility. As per the owner of the facility, Scott Berman, the quarterback has left the facility this Wednesday, ending his ‘dark retreat’. Earlier, on the Pat McAfee show, he announced that he would make a final decision after coming out of the retreat. Did he get what he wanted?
It is worth noting that Rodgers initially went into the facility to find mental peace, as he talked about it briefly on the Pat McAfee show. He did not have a great last season with the Packers statistically, which affected him deeply. It seemed like he played his final game against the Lions after failing to reach the playoffs. As his future was hanging in balance, he decided to go into the darkroom to provide more clarification to the Packers and to the world.
Is Aaron Rodgers finally ready to tell his future after coming out of the ‘dark retreat’?

It is worth mentioning that Rodgers is a regular guest on the Pat McAfee show, where he shares almost everything with the fans. On February 14, he said, “I’m probably going to have a better sense of where I’m at in my life… I didn’t say, ‘I’m going to my darkness retreat just to figure out if I’m going to play next year or retire.'”

“I’ve got a pretty cool opportunity to do a little self-reflection in some isolation, and then after that I feel like I’ll be a lot closer to a final, final decision,” Rodgers further said in the show.

Rodgers also said that he wanted to do this ‘darkness retreat’ for many years because he heard about it from many friends. He said he would be in total darkness for four days and four nights, which could give him hallucinations. As he is finally out of that place, the NFL world is ready to hear his decision. Meanwhile, a recent rumor suggests that he is in Australia now, enjoying the famous singer Harry Styles’ concert.

Currently, they are also waiting to hear from Rodgers about his future, along with many other teams in the league. If Rodgers doesn’t retire, the Jets could go for the Packers star, which would give them a shot at the Super Bowl. Otherwise, they will most likely sign Carr, as it would not cost them any draft picks.
