The NFL gods have been kind to the Packers when it comes to quarterbacks. In Brett Favre, they found a perennial game-winner, and in Aaron Rodgers, one of the greatest talents the world had ever seen.

Comparisons between the two were bound to take place as the latter took over the reins from Favre back in 2007. While many have contrasting opinions about the two, one former Packer has made it clear whom he enjoyed playing with back in the day.

Former NFL Wide Receiver, Greg Jennings, who has played with both Favre and Rodgers at Green Bay, said that Favre was his pick when it came to choosing a quarterback to play with because of his ability to help receivers make plays.

“So it’s really easy for me, and people ask me this question all the time. Greg, who would you want to be your quarterback and for me, and I kind of get twisted a little bit and this is why, when you get Brett Favre on the football field, he’s just gonna give his players a chance.

“He’s going to put the ball up there because he’s more of a gunslinger, he’s more of a risk-taker. Doesn’t mean he’s not accurate, doesn’t mean he doesn’t throw a great ball.

“He does all of those things, but he’s just going to give you a chance to make a play and allow your skillset to show for,” said Jennings.

The former Packers WR suggested that Rodgers’ ability to deliver pinpoint passes eliminated his receivers’ ability to make plays for the team.

“Aaron is so precise with where he delivers the ball. He kind of eliminates the receivers’ opportunity to make a play. Yes, he puts the balls in a position, back shoulder, you twist and you can torture your body, all of those things, but the ball placement is pretty much pinpoint,” he said.

“That’s the one thing that I loved about Brett, you had to make a play. He was going to come to you in the most craziest of situations when he knew he shouldn’t. He was going to be that guy to do it. That’s really not Aaron’s deal,” he added.
