The Green Bay Packers star QB, Aaron Rodgers, made great headlines earlier this month. On an appearance on a podcast with Aubrey Marcus, he confessed to something surprising. The four-time MVP award winner revealed that, while on a trip to Peru, he indulged in an intake of psychedelics. Ayahuasca is the name of the tea, which is a psychedelic; a pan-Amazonian native. It is charged with DMT because of its psychoactive properties. In the midst of all the excitement among fans, Rodgers’ new rumored love romance, Blu, left a supportive comment on his proclamation.

How did the ayahuasca help Aaron Rodgers?

Using psychedelics is not uncommon in extreme sports like para-gliding, surfing, mountain boarding, etc. However, the rules surrounding the usage of psychedelics are a little blurry. Despite that, Aaron Rodgers believes the reason he won the MVP award consecutively was because of the brew.

The QB won two MVP awards in a row. One in 2020 and another in 2022. Also, the reason he had a great season was because of the use of the psychedelic. The Super Bowl-winning QB also came under fire for using alternative medicines. He said, “There’s an underlying, you know, ‘Shut up and dribble.’ ‘Shut up and play.’…I’m not a cliche guy… I’m the guy that shoots from the hip and speaks from the heart.”

Rodgers is all about self-love!

In the podcast, Rodgers also mentioned how the hallucinogenic drug made him love himself more. In the interview, he said, “To me, one of the core tenets of your mental health is that self-love. That’s what ayahuasca did for me, was help me see how to unconditionally love myself.”

The tea abled him to love himself “unconditionally” and also give that love out to his teammates. With the season right around the corner, fans are excited to see how the tea helps A-Rod on the field.
