Talking at the Pat McAfee Show, the experienced campaigner said it is positive that the team scored seven points in the opener because it was only three last year. The superstar also backed WR Christian Watson, the 23-year-old who learned the NFL lessons the hard way in the opening encounter.

I expect the ball to go to Christian. So we talked about the rally we got to run..But drastic things do happen. Sometimes we make mental mistakes. There is a lot of this by all these guys. A lot of things get lined up. But he is not gonna be dropped,” says the 38-year-old.

Adding further, he said there is no reason to feel dejected or disappointed about the match result, as it is only the beginning of the new season. “Wins are a lot more fun. But I am sure there is an overreaction one day. First Monday of the new football season and games happen and I am sure. It is a fun time for all,” adds the dashing star.

Talking about the preparation tactics, he said the team is decided for Friday, which gives them ample time to prepare. “Most of the time, we know by Friday who is going to play the match. There’s a category of players who can not practice on weekends and play on Sundays. I belong to that category,” believes the 38-year-old QB.
