Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers have been struggling offensively this season, which resulted in a few disappointing losses for them. Most recently, they suffered a big loss against the Jets on Sunday, as the final scoreline did not please Cheeseheads.
Despite the struggling offense, Rodgers is particularly happy about one person in particular, i.e. running back Aaron Jones. Earlier, he appeared in the ‘Pat McAfee podcast’ where he praised the RB massively and talked about giving him the ball more.

Aaron Rodgers praises teammate Aaron Jones
During the discussion with McAfee, the former NFL player asked Rodgers about Jones. In reply, Rodgers said, “Just get him the ball more (laughs)… Every time there’s an L, you know there’s any type of adversity, there’s always going to be narratives that come out of it and easy one for us is, oh, we gotta get the ball to 33 more.“

Rodgers then talked about creating a lot of plays for Jones; however, it doesn’t always work out for the team. “Man, it’s true, when he touches the ball, good things happen. You know, he breaks tackles, and he’s probably our most elusive guy with the football in his hands,” he said.

“But yeah, he’s a dynamic player, and it’s not like we are not trying. We have a lot of plays in the plans for him, we call certain passes just for him, we have runs designed to get him the football, we have an awesome running back in AJ Dillon as well, who we’re trying to get the ball to but there’s a lot of things that can dictate how much we get the ball,” the legendary Packers quarterback further added.
Rodgers and Co are looking for some trades ahead of the deadline
The Bays are definitely looking at the trade deadline, as Rodgers indicated during the Pat McAfee Show. Moreover, they are struggling with the wide receivers at the moment. Even though Jones has been playing well, losing Davante Adams during the offseason is definitely hurting the team.

Moreover, the injuries are also continuously hampering the team’s performance. Recently, wide receiver Randall Cobb also suffered an injury, which will most likely keep him out for a few weeks. So, the Packers have no other option but to look for some receivers before the trade deadline.
Currently, they are in the second position behind the Vikings in the NFC North division, despite having lost 3 games already. In the next game, they will face the Commanders, which is a must-win game for the Bays.
