Aaron Rodgers will set foot on the NFL pitch next week for the first time since January. The preseason for the 2023 NFL season is knocking on the door, exemplified by the Hall of Fame game just 8 days away. The match against the Browns will have a less tense aura following the resolution in the last couple of days.

Reports suggest the conundrum is finally behind the pair with Rodgers and the Jets coming up with a solution to the hurdle that had persisted following the switch from the Packers.

The trade between the Jets and the Packers for Aaron Rodgers caught many eyes in the offseason. The former Super Bowl winner was moving from the team he had spent his career with till the move materialized. Upon his departure from the green and yellow, one hurdle followed him to the big apple. But now it seems that the details have been thrashed out between the two parties.

In the latest update from JPA football on Twitter, they report Jets and star QB Aaron Rodgers have agreed to a restructured contract solution.” The news and update will be a welcome boost to the fans of Rodgers and the Jets as they cut it pretty close to confirming the restructure. A-Rod had agreed to move a portion of his bonus to 2024 before finalizing his move to the Jets.

It was this adjustment that took up the time to complete the contract restructuring with his new franchise. Following the announcement, it is believed that Rodgers will be handed almost $100 million as compensation in 2024. The restructure pointed out a recurring issue that many fans might have left unnoticed. Despite the happy vibes the Jets and Rodgers have experienced, it hasn’t been all smooth sailing for the New York outfit.

The legendary QB has portrayed a side rarely seen before by the fans. Ever since he moved to the big apple, he has let loose, as he has been seen partying with friends and attending galas all offseason. This may not have brought up severe concerns, as he didn’t let his mood affect his training on the pitch. But it did add an air of concern after the developments late in the offseason came to light.

After Chuck Clark was sidelined via an ACL injury earlier in June, it prompted the immediate signing of Adrian Amos. This meant the incoming Amos cannot train with his new team until the preseason begins. To add to the list of potential headaches, they have been confirmed as the next team for HBO’s Hard Knocks.

The Jets and their star QB may have overcome one of their potential hurdles that ranked high on their priority list. But the other hurdles may rear their heads as obstacles later in the year, potentially during the season.
