Aaron Rodgers Once Revealed How Michael Jordan & Joe Montana Inspired Him To Be ‘The Guy’ in Clutch Moments

Aaron Rodgers has been widely regarded as one of the best players in the NFL during clutch situations. His calmness in pressure situations has made him one of the game’s all-time greats. Whenever the game is on the line, he usually succeeds in getting the job done.

In 2020, Rodgers appeared in a podcast. He was asked how he has become the great clutch player he is today. Rodgers credited his success in clutch situations to Michael Jordan and Joe Montana. Both Montana and Jordan are legends of their sport, and they have inspired many players.

Aaron Rodgers said, “When I was six, I was five, and I watched Joe Montana take the Niners down the field against the Bengals and threw a touchdown to John Taylor for the win, and I remember thinking and that’s what I wanted to do you know.”

He added, “Then fast-forward 14 and I’m watching MJ, Michael Jordan’s last game with the Bulls and you know he crosses up Russell at the foul line and drains a mid-range shot, and that’s what I always said like I want to do that like I want the ball in the clutch moments.

Aaron Rodgers won the MVP award last year. He was once again sensational in the regular season and led the Packers to the 1st seed in the NFC. However, Rodgers didn’t have the best of days in the playoff game against the 49ers.

Aaron Rodgers will be out to prove that he is capable of winning big games also. The Packers have lost their WR 1 in Davante Adams, but they will still be among the favorites to come out of the NFC. It wouldn’t be a big surprise if Rodgers ends up winning his third MVP award in a row, because everyone knows how great of a player he is.
