The Green Bay Packers faced their rivals, the San Francisco 49ers, in the preseason opener. They dropped it by the score of 28-21. The Packers QB, Jordan Love, threw two touchdown passes, both 33 yards. He threw them to his WRs, Romeo Doubs and Danny Davis III. However, he also faced three inceptions. In this wild night of a game, the treasured player of the Packers, Aaron Rodgers, weighed in to give his two cents. His opinions matter because the Packers were building up Love as Rodgers’ replacement.

Although the four-times MVP-winning QB no longer plays preseason match-ups, he knows what is expected of a young quarterback.

He said, “Sometimes we get caught up in big plays or points on a drive. Those are great and those feel good, but the most important thing is you’re making the right check, you’re making the right adjustment, you’re getting us in and out of the huddle and commanding the operation.”

According to the Super Bowl-winning QB, preseason is different from a regular game. Young players are bound to make mistakes. A mastery over positions is mandatory, and a player got to show that during practice, as well. Also, it is crucial to show all the skills required to become a great quarterback.

Even though the team lost against their eternal rivals and the gameplay of Jordan Love got confusing, he showed improvement. He made big-time throws in the training camps while looking much more comfortable and poised.
