For the fourth time, Aaron Rodgers is a candidate for ‘Best Athlete, Men’s Sports’ this year. He faces off against Los Angeles Angels’ Shohei Ohtani, the Edmonton Oilers’ Connor McDavid, and the Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry.

Furthermore, Rodgers did not get just one, but two nominations. ESPN also nominated him for the ‘Best NFL Player’ category, alongside Cooper Kupp of the Los Angeles Rams, T.J. Watt of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and Jonathan Taylor of the Indianapolis Colts. Aaron is no stranger to ESPYS, but he will have fierce competition. Every athlete on the list has excelled in their previous campaigns.

Both A-Rod and TB12 were in a tight race for the NFL MVP award. Rodgers received his fourth MVP accolade following the 2021 NFL season, but Tom Brady received the ESPY award for best NFL player in the same year. In terms of glory, both athletes came out on top.

Danica mentions, “I met Aaron a long time ago… We met in 2012, so, we met at the ESPY’s. I remember it was some kind of afterparty… We were at the bar getting some drinks and, ‘oh hey!’ we started talking. He was throwing in some movie lines. I mean, this guy is really funny! We kind of randomly kept in touch from that point on and that’s it.”
