It’s been a rough couple of months for veteran NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The soon to be 37-year old is entering his 15th season in the NFL with Green Bay Packers. He’s been in the headlines this offseason mainly because of the arrival of Utah State quarterback Jordan Love. Love was touted to be Rodgers’ long-term replacement but failed to impress in his initial days with the Packers.

Of course, Rodgers has been outstanding over the last few weeks. In fact, A-Rod has taken Love under his wing and is playing the role of a mentor in the NFL rookie’s career. Head coach Matt LaFleur is entering his second season with the Wisconsin-based franchise. LaFleur is adamant that Rodgers will be the ‘starting quarterback’ heading into the opening week, provided he is fit that is.

The Athletic correspondent Matt Schneidman is currently reporting live from Wisconsin where the Packers are training. Here’s his update on the recent training ground incident involving two-time NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers.

He wrote, “Aaron Rodgers got what looked to be his left foot checked out by head trainer Bryan Engel on the sideline after taking a tumble. Seemed to get tangled up with Jamaal Williams after the snap. Rodgers seems to be A-OK. Everyone breathe.”
An injury to Rodgers will definitely open up an unwanted ‘Pandora’s Box’ in Wisconsin. It’s no secret that rookie quarterback, Jordan Love, still has a long way to go before he can make his NFL debut. If recent training clips are any proof, then it must be noted that Love’s throwing ability still needs to be worked upon. The Packers start their 2020 season with an away game against Minnesota Vikings. Head coach Matt LaFleur will be counting upon star quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, to start the season with a morale-boosting win.
