The QB will become the second player in NFL history to win three consecutive NFL MVP awards. Considering he wins it in the 2022 season. Aaron Rodgers is an invaluable asset to the Green Bay Packers. Conversely, the QB’s payout could become a significant talking point. This season, it could hamper the journey for the Packers to win the Lombardi trophy.

Earlier in March 2022, reports surfaced that the 4x NFL MVP award winner is asking for a considerable salary increase. The jump in salary would entitle him to a $50 million payout per year. The QB’s demands were based on his staying with the Packers after the 2022 season.

Reportedly, he wanted to be the highest-paid player in the NFL and that too by a wide margin. If this contract extension happens, Rodgers’ payout will hamper the salary of other players in the Pack. It could propel the Packers to suffer immensely this season.

However, Aaron Rodgers categorically dismissed the reports. He revealed that he isn’t seeking a $50 million payout through his contract extension with the Packers. His current contract is liable to pay him $27 million in salary in 2022.
